Accordion Crimes is the latest recording from Karen Street. It is a logical development of the sound she created on her acclaimed debut CD, "Finally a Beginning". It is full of great new tunes, characterful blends of melodic, contemporary jazz flavoured with folk and tango, reworkings of a hymn tune, "When a Knight won his Spurs" and Ellington/Strayhorn's "Mount Harissa". The line up is the same (Stan Sulzmann and Fred T. Baker) with the addition of Mike Outram on guitar. This CD reinforces her reputation as one of the the UK's leading composers and accordionists.
